Celestial Calendar Privacy Policy

Celestial Calendar shows the Gregorian, Hijri and Panchang calendars together, with moon phases, sunrise and sunset for your chosen city, and your own events. You don't need an account to use it, and we (the developer) don't run any server that collects your personal data. This policy explains what the app stores and what it does not.

Data we collect

We don't collect, store or sell any personal information. The app has no sign-up, no login, no analytics of its own and no advertising SDK.

Data stored on your device

• Your calendar settings such as the calendars you show, fonts, colours, first day of the week, Hijri adjustment and the city you picked for sunrise and sunset are saved locally on your device.
• Your events — titles, dates, colours, notes and any image you attach to an event — are saved locally on your device.
• Exported files — when you export a month as PNG or PDF, the file is written to your device's Downloads folder by the app itself.

This data never leaves your device. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app deletes it.

Location

Sunrise and sunset need a latitude and longitude, so the app asks you to pick a city from a built-in list. That choice is stored on your device. The app does not request the Android location permission and never reads your device's actual position.

Photos

If you attach an image to an event, the app opens Android's own file picker and copies only the file you select into its private storage on your device. It does not read your photo library on its own and does not upload anything.

Advertising and tracking

The app contains no ads, no advertising ID use, no tracking SDKs and no third-party analytics. It does not profile you and it does not share data with anyone.

Internet

Every calendar, moon and sun calculation is done on your device. The app does not declare the internet permission at all, so it cannot send or receive anything, and it works fully offline.

Permissions

Celestial Calendar does not ask for access to your contacts, camera, microphone, precise location, or the files on your device beyond the single image you pick for an event.

Children

Celestial Calendar is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Because nothing is collected at all, there is nothing to expose.

Security

Because we don't hold your personal data, there is nothing of yours on our side to breach. Anything the app stores lives only on your own device, protected by Android's app sandbox.
